This long-standing competition continues to celebrate the love of our tiny archipelago through your eyes. From Landscapes to sightseeing tours, food & drink, festivals and wildlife, to on-the-water activities, gardens and simply enjoying the islands with your loved ones - so many of you shared your favourite pics of 2023 with us.
The outright winner of this year’s competition is Luke Hanna with his amazing image of razor clam shells on beach. It was selected by public vote on Instagram from the judge's selection, winning him an amazing holiday for two worth more than £1,000.
Here’s what Luke had to say: "I am delighted to win the IOS 2023 Photo Competition, particularly given the exceptional quality of the other entries! I must also share credit with my 5-year-old daughter, Ottilie, who spent an idyllic afternoon collecting and arranging the razor clam shells then helping photograph them."

The winning prize is a 4-night break for two sharing a twin or double Sea View room at Tregarthen’s Hotel on St. Mary’s on a bed and breakfast basis, plus return travel for two on a fly/sail ticket aboard Skybus and Scillonian III passenger ferry, courtesy of Isles of Scilly Travel.
The 2023 Isles of Scilly Photography Competition saw nearly 3,000 entries, that's 2,500 more than last year!
Amanda Bond, Head of Marketing for Visit Isles of Scilly, said: "There's such enthusiasm for the islands and the competition, visitors genuinely love it here and it’s a delight to see how that translates into some truly great photography covering the breadth, and depth, of our tiny island paradise. We have been thrilled with the quality of this year's entries."
This annual competition continues to celebrate the love of our tiny archipelago and we love seeing Scilly through your eyes! Whether you’re an amateur or pro, here for just a single day or full-on staycation, we invite anyone who has spent time on the islands to take part in the competition next year and share their most cherished memories with us.
The 2024 competition will launch in spring and will run throughout the season, with final entries early November.
