On a rainy day on St. Mary's a very popular option is to head down to Phoenix Craft Studios where, every weekday afternoon, workshops are put on giving you the opportunity to try all sorts, from stained glass painting and lino printing to jewellery making. If you're looking for some active options, head for the indoor swimming pool at Normandy or the Sports Hall & Gym on St Marys. There are plenty of open and family swimming sessions, and the Sports Hall can be hired with use of all its great sporting equipment. On each of the off islands, there are community centres with a raft of sporting and play facilities (such as table tennis and badminton). Ask at the Tourist Information Centre, or enquire with your accommodation provider about how to make use of them.
