This long-standing competition continues to celebrate the love of our tiny archipelago through your eyes. From Landscapes to sightseeing tours, food & drink, festivals and wildlife, to on-the-water activities, gardens and simply enjoying the islands with your loved ones - so many of you shared your favourite captures of 2024 with us resulting in a whopping 2,600 entries!
The outright winner of this year’s competition is Scott Taachi with his awe-inspiring view of Round Island. It was selected by public vote across Instagram and Facebook from the judge's selection, winning him an amazing holiday for two worth more than £1,000.
Here’s what Scott had to say:
“I entered the competition thinking “wouldn’t that be a lovely prize”, not expecting to actually win it. I have only been to the Isles of Scilly through work so haven’t really seen the islands properly and my girlfriend has never been before - we have discussed about potentially getting married over on the islands. This competition will give us the opportunity to not only experience Scilly properly but also look at potential wedding ideas. Thank you so much, I am over the moon.”

The prize for the outright winner is a 3-night break for two sharing a twin or double room at Hell Bay Hotel on Bryher on a bed and breakfast basis. Plus, return travel aboard Penzance Helicopters from Penzance Heliport to St. Mary’s or Tresco.
Visit Isles of Scilly, said: " The enthusiasm for the islands and the competition is truly inspiring. Visitors clearly love Scilly, and it’s a joy to see that passion and connection reflected in the exceptional photography capturing the beauty and charm of our tiny island paradise. We’ve been thrilled with the outstanding quality of this year’s entries.
Whether you're an amateur or a professional, visiting for a day or here for longer, we invite everyone who has spent time on the islands to join next year’s competition and share their most treasured moments with us. The 2025 competition will kick off in the spring and run throughout the season.”
