Excitingly, as part of the Ocean Scilly festival and the weekend finale, we are pleased to announce that Scilly60 Events will be hosting five swimrun adventures.

There will be a guided Swimrun taster session, a fabulous opportunity to come and see what Swimrun is all about, this will be a leisurely Swimrun guided by event organiser Wez Swain and an excellent entry into the flow of this land and sea sport.

This course will involve 3 swims and 5 runs, totalling about 600m of swimming and 5km of running, with plenty of chat and support along the way; this one is not a race but a social event and a chance to ‘dip your toes in the water’.

Other events will include the St Mary's Half swimrun, which will total around 7km of running and 1km of swimming around the Southwest of St Mary’s, plus the St Mary's full swimrun which involves a complete circumnavigation of St Mary’s, equating to approximately 12km of running and 3km of swimming. In addition, there will be the Junior swimrun which has four separate routes for varying age brackets and the final event on the programme will be the Archipelago Swimrun.  This is for experienced open water swimmers & trail runners and this tough event will involve around 8km of open water swimming between islands and around 30km of trail running on many of the islands making up the archipelago. 

Whether an athlete or spectator the Scilly swimrun is always huge fun and Scilly60 will be the closing event for Ocean Scilly, concluding the new event from the IP, with a celebratory social event on the Sunday evening.
