The best way to get around St. Martin’s is on foot. Nothing is too far and it can easily be done in a day. However, you can hire kayaks up at Higher Town (not far from the quay) if you fancy seeing St. Martin’s from a different perspective. If you’re tired or weary, a passing quad or tractor might offer a ride, but with no roads to speak of, don’t expect much else!
Getting to St. Martin’s from the other islands is easy. “Tripper boats” go from St. Mary’s every day, usually twice a day; and from Tresco, Bryher and St. Agnes, about twice a week. Check the noticeboards on the islands or contact the local island boating company.
If you’re staying on St. Martin’s - the inter-island boating is run by St. Mary' Boatmen's Assosciation. They post their scheduled services online and on the islands’ noticeboards every evening for the following day.
