About

Polreath is a small and friendly, family-run, bed and breakfast, situated in a stunning garden setting on the beautiful island of St Martin’s. With delicious home-cooking, far-reaching sea views, comfortable bedrooms, and friendly hosts, this is just a taste of what’s to come when you stay at Polreath.

Every morning you can look forward to a hearty breakfast cooked fresh to order for you by Jason. Choose from homemade muesli or granola with compote of Earl Grey infused prunes or porridge with thunder and lightning. Follow with the full Polreath breakfast or maybe something simpler. Poached eggs from our own hens served with pan fried dry cured back bacon is a definite favourite with our regular guests!

A two course set evening meal is generally available for our resident guests three nights a week. Jason does the cooking and likes to offer the best of home-grown, local and regionally sourced produce. On Friday and Thursday nights he cooks exclusively for you, local or Cornish fish on a Friday and West Country rib eye steak on a Thursday. Monday night is Curry Night and popular with guests, locals and visitors alike.

We are licensed and offer a selection of carefully chosen wines, beers and spirits to complement the food we serve. So take time to enjoy a local aperitif on the deck followed by a glass of wine or beer with your meal.

Just five minutes walk from Par Beach and Higher Town Quay, Polreath is the ideal base for island exploration.

To find out about our current availability and when we open our bookings for 2025, please visit our website.

We look forward to hearing from you.
