About

"Buzza Ledge" is the uppermost of a group of four detached split level houses that were built on the Western slopes of Buzza Hill in the 1960s.

The houses are approached via a short private road at the foot of Buzza Hill (at the extreme Eastern end of Porthcressa Beach). Buzza Ledge sleeps up to 6 people, but in the low season we reduce the rates substantially to make it economic for smaller groups.

Since acquiring Buzza Ledge we have extensively refurbished it throughout. including the fitting of new upvc double glazing, a new kitchen and bathroom and the provision of a deck at the front of the house.

The accommodation comprises, on the ground floor, a reception lobby, cloakroom (with WC), a large lounge/dining room and kitchen. The first floor, which is set back from the ground floor, has two double bedrooms, one bedroom with a set of full size bunk beds and a bathroom with WC and shower over the bath. All the front windows of the house have panoramic views which extend across Porthcressa Bay to Gugh in the South, across Hugh Town to the Garrison and around to the harbour with Samson, Bryher and Tresco beyond.

The deck, which is accessed directly from the kitchen, shares the same views and is equipped with table and chairs for alfresco dining. At the rear of the house is a sheltered private garden which is a real sun trap. A short cut from this garden takes you to Buzza Tower where the views are even better! The property is comprehensively equipped with everything you should need, including a smart TV, CD/radio/cassette player, microwave oven, fridge/ freezer etc.

Night storage heaters have been fitted to provide central heating in the early and late season periods. Linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. However, please bring your own beach towels. Hot water is provided by an immersion heater. Electricity and unlimited wireless broadband are included. in the weekly rental. “Buzza Ledge”has been recently inspected by the English Tourist Board and awarded a four star rating.
