About

We have 7 fully equipped lodges that each sleep 4 (+1) in a double room with king size bed and a bunkbed room with a fold out single bed. The lodges have an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a modern shower room and an outdoor area with a BBQ/Fire pit - perfect for barbequing our local sausages or perhaps even your own catch! The lodges all have complimentary Wi-Fi, a wood burner, smart TV, dishwasher, ironing facilities, cots and highchairs.

Peninnis Farm is ideally located as we are away from the hustle and bustle but only a short pleasant walk away from Hugh Town. On either side of the farm are some of the island’s best beaches, Porthcressa and Old Town beach and the harbour is only a 10 minute walk away. Bordering the farm is also the spectacular Peninnis Head with its signature lighthouse and stunning rock formations.

We have 2 lodges changing over on a Monday, Tuesday & Saturday and 1 lodge with a Wednesday changeover for week bookings.

On our small family run farm we have chickens, Ruby Red Devon cattle and Oxford Sandy and Black pigs and at certain times of the year we will have piglets and calves. Children are welcome to join Farmer Dan in the mornings on the animal round to collect the eggs and feed the pigs. Our free range eggs and locally reared bacon and sausages are available to purchase on site for the perfect breakfast.

Bookings are taken 11 months in advance as this year’s guests have first refusal on the same week next year with the deposit being due a month after departure if rebooking. We cater for families and couples; large groups are only taken by prior arrangement.

Dogs are welcome outside of peak times, subject to availability (peak times are Easter school holidays, early May bank holiday, Whitsun, July and August). We charge £50 for a dog with a maximum of one dog per lodge and we require a £50 security deposit which is refundable after inspection on departure. Dogs must be kept under control and must not be left in the lodge unsupervised.
