Dating back to the early-17th century, The Guard House was originally constructed next to the Garrison’s main gated entrance. Located within the Elizabethan walls, it makes a perfect base for exploring the unrivalled natural beauty of the islands.

LIVING

The Guard House has a welcoming open-plan sitting room/dining kitchen with a wood burner in a large granite fireplace and comfortable furniture. There’s also a TV, a DVD player, hi-fi and good stock of DVDs, board games and books.

EATING

The dining kitchen contains an electric cooker with a double oven and ceramic hob, a fridge freezer, washer and dryer, dishwasher and full range of modern cookware, crockery, glassware and cookbooks.

SLEEPING

The cottage has two bedrooms: a double bedroom with a super king bed and a twin bedroom. Both have lovely sea views and comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton bed linen.

BATHING

A family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, a WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

GARDEN

The Guard House nestles against the Elizabethan Garrison walls and has a private garden terrace, formerly a cannon battery, with garden furniture, a barbecue, and panoramic views of the harbour and off islands.
